ACT (Standardized Test for Juniors)

There are four ACT sections: 
-English
-Reading
-Math
-Science
The ACT also includes an optional 40-minute Writing Test, but that will not be offered during the February 27th administration of the ACT at Canal Winchester High School. Some colleges may require that you complete the ACT Writing Test. You can confirm each college's admissions policies on the school website, SchooLinks, or on the Princeton Review site

The ACT is 2 hours and 55 minutes long.  Students will also complete the preregistration process and create their myACT accounts during a POG period the week before.

Each section of the ACT is scored on a 1 to 36 point scale. Your composite ACT score is the average of your four section scores, also on a scale from 1 to 36. If you take the ACT with Writing Test, you will receive a separate score on the Writing Test.
Students should receive scores six to eight weeks after completing the test. Students will need to access their myACT account to retrieve their scores or send scores to colleges they are interested in applying.
